Nightmare grows
It's 8 p.m. here and I'm doing my best to keep moving.
I have to pack my bags for this rip-roaring trip, but before that really quick, I decided to do a tiny practice which our teacher demanded. The task is simple; "Write a summary of sth." It can be anything but he exclusively mentioned movies and books. Since I am a devotee of "The road to El Dorado" It only seems fair to lay my emphasis on that.
This 2000 adventure animated movie is DreamWork's 3rd featured film directed by "Eric Bergeran" and "Don Paul ".
The story sets in 1519, Spain where two charming con artists, "Tulio" and "Miguel", are defrauding sailors with a pair of loaded dice for a map. After their con is exposed they get into a stagy fight and one thing leads to another until they find themselves at the beginning of a trail to the glorious city of El Dorado.
Due to the gold-digging desire of Tulio and the adventurous soul of Miguel, they discover the golden city in which they're identified as divinities.
Appalled by this accusation, they plan to escape but once they truly realize this newly given power, they accept their "fate" and then we have this banger; "It's tough to be a god!"
With a change of plans, they end up heroically saving the city as well as sacrificing their burning ambitions.
All and all, in addition to its great character development and moral-based storytelling, El Dorado has some epic euphonious tracks, sung by the legendary singer, Elton John, and its famous composer, Hans Zimmer.
However despite the budget and time spent on this piece of art, the movie was a box-office bomb, mostly insomuch it was considered inappropriate for children pending on the cliché that "cartoons are meant merely for kids!"
.
All right. I'm satisfied with the results.
Gonna start packing up now. 😎🏔
P.s: one of my all-time favorite movies!
